Het OAV Thrust Air Bearing is een baanbrekende innovatie in luchtlagertechnologie. Voor het eerst is er een luchtlager beschikbaar dat volledig integreert en werkt op een drievoudig wrijvingsloos oppervlak. De OAV Thrust Air Bearing-configuraties draaien op as van standaardafmetingen voor een vaste, lineaire beweging terwijl de rotatiebeweging wordt gemaximaliseerd met ultraprecisie en nul wrijving met behulp van aluminium van ruimtevaartkwaliteit.

OAV-luchtlagers hebben een hogere stijfheid en uitstekende geometrische prestaties. De OAV Thrust Air Bearing belast zowel de horizontale als verticale oppervlakken voor met tegengestelde dunne films van druk. Dit behoudt de perfecte opening voor ultieme tolerantie, en het ontwerp van het oppervlak van het lager verdeelt de lucht gelijkmatig en laadt deze voor over het gehele oppervlak. Het resultaat is een uitstekende stijfheid met maximale prestaties.
